Just to add to you all's future tire options, pitbull tires makes some 39.5x16.5 and even wider 44x19.5's. More aggressive tread than the cepeks, but not as large lug voids as the swampers. If you decide to go 44+ they make a 47x21 "growler" that looks like it would be a good fit for your needs.

You guys could use that exhaust pipe blow up auto lift bag.

I think its 5.0 or 5.7 v8 , not sure what engine exactly , lot of old 4runners/hiluxes have been modified here
dreaded 3vze engine taken out and v6-v8 swapped in

Ford F350 King Ranch with 49" tires

One of its rear tires fell in a hole on Vatnajökull Glacier at about 1000meters elevation
bottomless hole where water had at some time been running to of the glacier
was covered with snow but he managed to hit it and sink into it, Very dangerous
to be walking around not knowing if it was a hole or a crevice in the glacier , if you fall into one of those you are most likely dead.

I managed to winch him up quite easily with a winch block

Traveling on Glaciers can be very dangerous , crevices that can swallow whole trucks easily, we have special maps in our GPS which shows us where danger zones are so we can steer clear from them, but you never know where crevices can be because the Glacier is ever changing

wasn't that stuck, but didn't want to take changes breaking Birfs or something else

1549_548468585182630_1547444784_n.jpg

Difficult conditions

Yes, everything stock , Birfs aren't original Toyota tough, as they are really expensive about 1000$ each side.. found some cheaper aftermarket birfs but they aren't anything special , just regular birfs

snow wheeling is alot different than what you're used to in rocks and trails where you live, lot less stress on axles , just have to know what you are doing, and when you get stuck with the front wheels sunk into something its much better to be towed than taking chances of breaking anything

Well, lets put more pictures up here, just went on a weekend trip last weekend
to a mountain hut

Nifty way to inflate tires. More details on the CTIS please

CTIS is of a very simple design, with minimal maintenance bits, only the "knees" on the rims can fail if driving to fast , as they have bearings in them , and the plastic hoses from the wheels to the fender flares can get damaged but are easy to change out, we just carry spare "knees" and hoses with us

then It's only valve controlled inflation and deflation from inside the truck no electronics , at least in my installation, some have it electronically controlled but then you have more things that can go wrong

Then I have 2x Viair pumps that pump into a 2.5gallon tank, planning on installing another tank that I own soon, then I have pressure stat that keeps the pressure on the tank
