I want to paint my trailer....

The tub is off of the frame and it was actually pretty light... compared to the tail gate.. it was freaking heavy.....

So the plan is to match the tub to the Strong Blue 8b7, fenders black and the lid is going to stay white....
I added two more load bars in the middle for other items in the future...

Im also planning on installing trailer brakes........

Is that Mikes old trailer? Cool that you got one of the "original" offroad trailers out there. I would say if it is chunking/flaking off in big chunks then strip it down and start over. If it is more like rock chips and wear and tear, I would scuff it and squirt it.

FWIW, my trailer that I painted about 4 months ago looks like that on the inside already from being used, and I used a heavy duty farm application paint.

Sweet score, what did Mike get? an AT?

Yeh.. that's Mike's trailer...
Its pretty sweet..I can haul 4x8 sheets of whatever if needed be...

Yeah Mike.. what you going to get ???

AT are sweet but out of my budget.....

Ok.. I got someone to blast this thing.. yeah the powder coating is flaking off and Im afraid that if I pain over it it will just flake off again....

If I can get a shop to match the 8b7 color code..I'll power coat... otherwise I'll paint it myself....

Haven't decided what I will get yet. I need a very nice NEW OR trailer, since I do some shows and events.

Considering AT and Campa. Or maybe have Wayne Percival build me another. I'll decide when bird season is over. Right now I am working on my 24" Airstream, and may decide to totally revamp the interior and exterior. It IS an expedition tralier, but not an off-road trailer. I think I need both.

Right now I am getting ready to go to North Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Oregon and Arizona to fool with my setters and harass the avian populations.

Drew, I think Line-X or Rhino Liner is the only way to do a trailer bed. They really take a beating.

It is going to be really hard to get all the PC off the box. There is only one place that I know of where the PC is flaking, and that is in the bed area. It is a really nice trailer, and I had a lot of great trips with it and many miles.

Haven't decided what to get yet to replace it. Aluminum would be nice...

Red is gone... now to find a place that can PC in blue for right $$.. or paint it myself...

The interior is blue and will be line-x when funds allow for that... It may be white or blue....

Plans are to put a dome light underneath the lid and trailer E. brakes...and these type of aluminum load tracks

The trailer came with this cool Jerry can saddles that I still need to powder coat on black and line x the jerry cans.. dont know it they would x-lined them tho'.

These trailer is huge...compared to most trailers out there.. but that is one of the main reasons I bought it... I can use it to play and I can use it to work hand haul material if and whenever needed... it'll be like having a pick up truck !!!

The blue looks good. Can you post up some more info on your tailgate and how the handle in the back opens it. I have a 416 that i am going to put a gate in and need to figure out how i am going to latch it.
