I need to take out rear panel that has an air bag - is it enough to just disconnect the battery?

I’m replacing the manual rear vent window with a motorized version and I’m not sure of the protocol for removing the upper rear panel that has the air bag. This is the last piece I need to remove to pull the window patches. I’ve run a search and haven’t found anything.

There’s a couple connectors so I’m thinking I’ll disconnect the battery, then remove the connectors, then remove the panel. Doesn’t seem like there’s much else to do.

Anyone have experience with this? I don’t want it going off in my face!

hmmm I'm new to using my computer with 'mud and wanted to just like your post, not use a wow emoticon! Anyway, thanks for the answer!
