Keeping in mind that my 40 is back on the road for the first time in 4 years, and the fact that we just moved to Chandler from Tucson and have no idea of where to take her, I would really like to get her off of pavement for a couple hours tomorrow.

Preferably something easy to get to from the east side, and also something that is really just a nice off pavement drive. Not really looking for a challenge yet as I want to go over more of her mechanicals.

My family and I joined Phil and John on the Walnut Canyon trip today. You can probably pm Phil and get gps coordinates. To bad you didn't join us today. Great run - Not to many rocks, not to few rocks, just right rocks!

Lots of dirt roads out by Florence Junction, but you'd need an escort who knows the area.

Spike,
Was that an offer?

Nope, if you ever rolled with me, you'd know I'm the last guy you want to rely on for directions. :D

Ended up going to Roosevelt via Apache Trail. Obviously didn't need four wheel drive, but it is a pretty drive.

I do think that my loose crank pulley has gotten worse.

Howdy! I remember the loose crank pulley being covered on the big board before. I don't remember if anyone had any luck using a Speedy Sleeve to take up the slack. Have you checked into them? John

I played around with one 5 or 6 years ago, didn't have much luck. At one time I was going to drill out a hole in the end of the crank and tap it. Got started, but broke the tap off in the hole. If I remember right, I said screw it and drove it the way it was.

I have a new radiator hose coming, so if the coolant is out of the radiator, I will just pull it out and see if I can do something with it. I might just try welding it to the crank. I really only want it to make it through the summer.
