This seems to be a fairly common thread on here....

I want to install Auto Meter electric coolant/oil pressure gauges into my new '85 60

Auto Meter gauges came supplied with 1/8 NPT adapters

I am afraid to really yard on the reducer for the coolant temp. in fear of breaking it off...is that possible

I know that the blocks are threaded BSP.....what adapters do I need to do the job right - thanks!

I drilled a new hole in an existing boss for the coolant temp on my 80 and tapped it with SAE size. I have seen people have good luck running the 1/8 tap into the metric hole and using it.
