Is that your truck you just got on Hwy. 12 for sale already.

I just saw this one outside Seb-Town of 12 today, yeah, that's eerily similar to mine, but someone hacked up the rear fenders of the one for sale. Weird.

Ran into, of all people, Bob Milar again, who's got a line on a not-PO-cratered dash panel, and a means of mounting an aftermarket stereo witout having to hack up my dash anymore. this doesn't work, I've got an overhead console design in the works to mount stereo/future, I just wan tot avoid punching any holes into my dash.

You could always do a full custom Dash like this:
'83 Dash Panel - Page 5 - Pirate4x4.Com Bulletin Board
custom dash%20011b.webp

wow...
He did a great job on those panels, too bad he won't be making any for a while. Overall, that guy's thread is just jaw-dropping, I wish I could get my pickup to look that clean.

edit: I will get my pickup to look that clean, slowly, but it'll happen. Next paycheck, I'll talk to my source for paint.
anybody know a good fabrication shop in the area that could duplicate this guy's panel?

Huge thanks to James Henry for setting me up with a front driveshaft! I'm hoping to install it tomorrow afternoon or Monday, and then I'll get to see just how The Mule handles the tractor trails behind my house.

Also, of note: any recommendations on bolts for installing this thing?

You need to get Toyota Drive shaft bolts. The bolts are very specific in design. You can still get them from the dealer or Larry. Bob Milar or Larry might be able to set you up with some used ones.

On your stereo many people install them in the glove box. Me, I hacked my dash up, but it was already butchered.

Thanks!

I'd like to just pass along a huge thanks to Larry Kitahara, Bob Milar and James Henry (again) for setting me up with all manner of parts. I just got my driveline cobbled together, and took her for a spin, and it just put the hugest grin on my face.
Poser shots to come on my build thread.

Again, thanks to everyone who's chimed in for tips or pointers, and I guarantee more questions to come!
Be blessed
