I was thinking you needed to send the jeep guy an appropriate present a jeeper would appreciate. Maybe a crome-plated bow shackle.

lol!!!! That's what I was thinking. I should be able to find some at the local junk yard.

Maybe some chrome plated nerf bars?

I am also not going out again on any trail without getting some sliders.

Just not happening, they are a must need.

Couldn't hurt.

Any info on it?

It is put on by a local HAM club...I am waiting for the date for the "Ham Cram and Test" to be confirmed in October (to take place in Silver Springs).

I am sorry this happened but glad it turned out ok. I drove my F150 fwd for a week when I broke my rear ds no trouble at all.

That's the truth! Pretty much the first thing I did to my 80, and definately the first thing I did to the 100 ("...uhh, gee honey, they're for side impact protection for you and the baby, yeah, that's the ticket!").

I can tell you this...........the 100 is the best front wheel drive off-roader out there!!!! :grinpimp: I still out wheeled that jeep. He used his air lockers twice getting out of there and I made it out with 2 wheels and A-Trac.

See....you're story had a SUPER ending! And yes....be proud....you're the first!

Glad you made out OK. You were pretty fortunate! Hope you get that dshaft reworked and get back in business quickly. Get some frickin' sliders too!!!

Sorry to hear about the break. But think of all of the wheelin'/campfire/rum days ahead of you, and the story it will be by then... If it ain't this..it's that.

Crazy story Red !

I`ve walked out of places that I had (originally) planned on driving out of before too, and its not fun. I guess at least you are lucky that someone was willing to help you.

Are there any photos of that guy`s jeep pulling you off the rock ?... If so, burn them IMMEDIATELY !! :D

Obviously it is better to go out with someone or stick to an easier track when alone. Make sure someone knows where you are, etc.

Sliders are really a must have item for harder trails. I have seriously limited the stuff I attempt until I get some sliders.

Now that you have taken the "long walk", do you wish you had any more stuff with you? Daypack, water, cash, etc.?

You still own (by a far margin) the craziest story ever! How is the purse anyways?

I know I'm a bit late to be mentioning this, but hope you didn't drink too much vino with your vico!

Yeah..........

thanks for the late warning there buddy.

;)

Oh and grand total to get it fixed?

$85 labor and a couple bucks an inch for metal. Haven't done it yet but will get done tomorrow. That was the place you suggested spressomon.

Nice machine work there ;) Definitely "lathed" it.

Only $85! Not bad at all. Does that include balancing?
