My AHC is going out and I want a mild lift so I am looking at the 1.5 inch by OME. That said doing research on this and it seems the shocks ride a little rough and I don't need the torsion bars unless I do bumpers or any other armor. It will be 99% on the road. I just want to make it mine. Don't want it to look like every other 2005 LX470.

All this to confirm that I can get the springs adjust the factory torsion bars and do factory shocks and this will get me out of the AHC game. I will have a LX that looks different from all the others but retain a nice ride on the road?

Please tell me all my research has paid off and I am not wasting your time or mine. Thank you to all the pros out there!

Your AHC torsion bars will not safely support the vehicles load without the AHC system. To replace the AHC you need new torsion bars, new springs, and new shocks on all four corners.

Excellent, am I best just going factory or going ahead and getting the OME? This is the one thing I wasn't positive on. Thank you for your post!

If you want to do a mild lift and ride good, could try non-AHC torsion bars, heavier rear springs, and oem shocks.

Put the stock LC suspension on there. The Toyota springs, TBs and shocks will give you the best ride. For a mild lift, get some 1" spacers from Slee and crank the TBs a touch. That will get you comfortably out of the AHC game without messing with your CVs or requiring a diff drop. As a bonus, you can get stock suspension parts cheap in the classifieds here.

Ive got all the parts laying in my garage. the shocks are shot but other than that its all good. planning to scrap it all unless your interested. shipping will suck on the TBs. PM me if interested.

Just getting the washers from @BlueWeim will save you about $200 if you're going the stock route.
