Hi JBHorne,

Did you install the Terra Grapplers before you added the suspension lift? I was wondering if they would fit without lifting my 200. I am a little annoyed you painted your ARB. I thought I was going to be the first one with a Silver 200 with a color matched ARB Bull bar. Your rig looks awesome and I can not wait to get mine looking like yours. I am glad we live in different states. Never bump into each other and I won't look like a copy cat. :bang: This might be a dumb question as I am new to the Landi world but is your suspension lift a "old man emu" with Icon and total caos setup? How are the terra grapplers on the highway compared to the stock bridgestones they come with. My landi will only see the trails maybe 3x's a year. Live near Tahoe, home of the Rubicon trail.

Thanks for the complements. Nope, I did everything at once. I really wouldn't push that size at stock height. There are other TG's which will fit, though. This is the absolute largest size you can go with the OME lift.

Most of my driving is in the city. We don't really have any highways here, except to go to Phoenix, which I rarely do. When I do get her on the highway though, you can be sure I will push it hard.

I have taken her on level 4 trails and destroyed practically everything. I beef things up as they are destroyed (ie. factory plates, side steps, front bumper, etc)

I did not go with the Total Chaos and ICON parts since these are parts that need constant maintenance. In my opinion, the TC UCAs are not needed with the OME lift. They were only needed when ICON was trying to push 4" out of an IFS. Not saying they are bad or anything, I just didn't see the benefit of paying for them when the factory ones do just fine.

How about they look great!?!?

When I walk up to my LC, the are one of the first things I see.... :p

Here are some coming from the backside of Charlou Gap to the abandon mines. Photos really never do climbs justice. These were pretty steep. My friend on the trip took the photos as I never do.

Really? They are showing up even in your post! They are from photobucket...it's your problem now :flipoff2:

Wow, nice pics! You rig looks right at home.

Edit: How do the TGs hold up agains punctures (thorny bushes, etc)

Looks awesome... well done! It really makes me want to trade the wife's Touareg in for one....

A Tundra and a 200 would make the perfect garage! :)

...well, those and a vette. :)

The TG's arn't punctured yet, so I'd have to say that for me they are holding up pretty well :hillbilly:

Great photos, it's always nice to see people taking there rigs off the beaten path. It still needs fender flares and 35's. Hopefully there is not too much work in getting it done.:hmm:

You could cut the fenders, custom mold some fiberglass fairs, and then stick 35's under there...but what's the point? You'd have to bump stop the hell out of it I would think, which IMO would not be an improvement over 33's that have a good range of travel (both up and down).

I say go for it if you are really dedicated. I'd love to see a US 35 modded 200!

Maybe you could contact Arctic Trucks and see what they have done??? There are numerous pictures of their 200's with flairs and 35s around here on the boards.

I just emailed Arctic trucks about that. When they contact me, I will let you and other readers know what they say. I am coming to the conclusion, that it may be more trouble than it's worth. I'll see what Arctic Trucks have to say.:bang:

If you go offroad at all, they are going to be destroyed, but to each their own.

I think you would be fine leaving them where they are. I did, and no issues.

Did the guy catch you taking pics in his driveway? Sounds like something I would do...that's if I ever saw another 200.

Reminds me, I need to go get pix of my truck next to the bone stock version of mine in town that sits at the train station every day. It wouldnt be the first time either ;)

JB, looks pretty sweet with the bumper painted that color.

To Paint or not

JB, my bumper will be arriving in a couple of weeks and I'm on the fence regarding color matching, liner spraying, a combination, or leave as is. I'm leaning towards spraying a liner then applying a clear urethane finish.

Yours looks great, how is the paint holding up to the scrapes, scratches, etc.?

My LC is silver and will have mine colored powdered coated to match just like JB's.
The black ARB on silver would certainly give it an aggressive look, but I want to retain it's modern look and yet be a little more unique. I have yet to see a color matched ARB in my area and it looks a little more classy.

just my $.02:steer:
