So today my roomate said lets go look and look at the new FJ Cruiser, which the dealer got in yesterday at 2p.m., it was silver. The salesman came out and we were talking, then he said lets take it for a ride.........duh no brainer there...... Anyway we went for a ride, all I can say is WOW, and I fell in love. We started talking and I sittin there blowing smoke........but hey what the hell let see what happens. After about 4 hours later the saleman came back and said congrats you got it..... Just waiting on the paperwork to finalize and I take delivery on Wed./Thurs. timeframe.

That's a nice color. Cruiser is looking good. What part VA you're from?

NO NO NO! it is now the optional driveway entrance :D

I took the pix here and I gotta say, I was way skeptical of the capabilities if the FJCruiser initially. Having now driven it I am pleasantly sruprised. Is it a FJ40 wannabe? I don't think so. It is a good blend of the entire Fj series. Vision from the driver seat takes some getting used to at best. From the driver seat looking right the passenger side "A" pillar is quite noticable. The obvious blind spot issue is real and prevalant, so attention must be paid when changing lanes. From the back seat, you may as well be sitting in a friggin cave! For the easily car sick this would be a nightmare. Flipping down the sun visors (may seem trivial) is a unique exercise too, it is a long reach. Power is seamless, not lacking, nor excessive. Ride quality is good as well. In the pix above the FJ was NEVER stuck, and made it's own way out in 4-high, much to the surprise of a friend standing with his jaw on the ground. Front flex is hardly noticable, and the rear shocked the hell out of me! This rig isn't mine, but I stand to have a little seat time on and off road, so my opinions may change. It is planned to take it to a local trail this weekend. Nothing extreme, just a little fun. Looking forward to seeing it wheel with some Xterras and TJ's. I'm looking forward to learning the "A-Trac" personally.

For the Land Cruiser purist, the FJ Cruiser may seem like a slap in the face, but I feel it is an all together different animal.

My FJ Cruiser

Well, I left the house yesterday to buy cheese for a party and came home with a BEAUTIFUL new FJ Cruiser! I was on a list for a dealer here to call me when they came in, and by the time I got there it had a "SOLD" sign on it. Turns out, someone out down a deposit and hadn't claimed it yet, so the sold it to me! I've wanted a cruiser since my brother got involved with them and Georgia Cruisers. I drove a 4-Runner for years, and wanted to go back, but toyota didn't have the aggressive truck I was looking for. Now they do! Here are pics...fresh from today! I LOVE THIS TRUCK!

ACK!!!! I never gave thought to the septic tank thing!!! ACK!!!!!!!! BLECK!!!!! "FJ Pooper"

I may offer up my sawzall "skills" to the new owner. HEEHEHEHE! I know he has a spare axel from an '82 mini-truck in his garage, and a few sets of leaf springs laying around.

Honestly though i am impressed/surprised by what actually hit the market.
