Yay!

:bounce:

My local dealer was the last place I thought I'd see one. I'd emailed down to Austin and Waco and they said they'd let me know when they had one I could check out. Well I always peep over in the Toyota dealer when I'm driving past on the highway and tonight there it was. The wife thought we were going to crash when I yelled out "There it is" and swerved to the offramp.

Well it was up on the merry go round thingy so I couldn't even see inside it  (place was closed) but as it turned round and round I was able to marvel at it's beauty (or should I say it's ugliness :) ). As I came up on it it was more than I had hoped for. The grille and lights are the coolest part about it. I've never really liked the windowless area but this one was all black (white roof still, way cool  ) so that area blends in well with the tinted windows. Overall it's just a bad ass little machine and the wife and I are stoked to roll up in the 40 and ask to test drive it. :D

The only bad part was that the tag was $30k and it was only 2 wheel drive! WTF!

I just have to say that I disliked it in so many ways in the beginning but those little oddities that I didn't like have really grown on me and it's just a one of a kind truck and those things are what makes it so different. Hopefully the inside doesn't let me down.

I'll bump this post up when my order comes in. :D

Hawk - if you need to, make the trip up here to Fort Worth - Freeman Toyota is selling them at sticker, doesn't have the added on "BS" charge. you'll have to order is and wait a few months, but that's better'n paing $5k too much for it.

his was a post from WC's site

Just returned from Karl Malone to see a new FJ. I had to run to Larry H Toyota later and seen another one (yellow) there. Looks they are here.

KM had a black one yesterday that's gone already. They have a blue one now that barely came in that is not prepped yet. Sticker $27K.

Hi Guys,
I'm from SLC and am now driving a new FJ. I sold a very built Wrangler TJ to start over with the Toyota. I noticed a few of you with Wasatch Cruisers. I've checked out your site but you have no contact info or schedule.

Hi Scott.
Wasatch is a private site, you need to be a member or get the ok to view the site, We do this for many reasons, We are however working on getting a non-member section so people can get info and things like that.
Good luck with the new FJC!

I'd love to talk to you guys about tagging along on a trail run, I'm unobtrusive and no-one'll have to yank, pull or winch me out of trouble. I met a nice bloke yesterday named Richard with a recently purchased tan FJ40 who is a member of your club. Anyhow, this is now officially off topic lol. Email is moabrat@msn.com

I enjoyed this .. thanx :)

TY

PS: Come to think of it, it would have been funny if you rolled and then 'walked' the block over to the dealership .. brushed the dirt and grass off yourselves and politely asked to test drive it ..... then drove it back and yanked yer 40 out of the ditch .. *toothy grin*
