that is a LJ78.
to me the only way i would even consider a JDM is with access to the auction sheet...
$16,996...where do they get these numbers?
these are the ones with the tail lights that are not permitted in BC, maybe phone then and ask what their policy is should an inspecter seize the unit. full refund? loaner till they make the unit qualify? or is it buyer's problem once it leaves the lot?
cheers

The price may be a bit high as you will also pay GST and PST. . To add to Waynes comment; If your in B.C. check with an inspector prior to buying as there is some diccusion on JDM lights (no DOT or SAE mark) and if they meet B.C. standards.
As for the auction sheet, it will give you the auction rating (body & interior)and comments (in japanese) Be aware they may not be to acurate, as auctions may vary on thier standards of what a grade 3 or 4 truck is as well as interior grading. (*they can also be easily forged by an imported or broker in Japan)

Good points! Penticton Toyota has sold a lot of those LJ's in the last year or so. I saw a couple the last time I was in the Okanogan . I visited the lot and talked to Adam Rose. He's the "sales advisor" who's bringing them in. He's keen but not particularly knowledgable.

But the tail lights on the LJ's are the same as the HZJ77's, right? Are there any "legit" lights available?

wayne, where abouts in the NE is yoru shop located? what are you close to?
