I am putting my power steering system back together and can’t remember which hose on the steering box is which. Looks like the high pressure towards the front and low pressure towards the back??? I had new hoses made so it is not slotting into normal place.

Unless the fittings have changed on the newer models, one will be an M17x1.50 and the other an M16x1.50. I think the high pressure side is the M17. Here is a photo of my 1991 Prado with the high pressure hose removed:

Sorted . The high pressure line is always the furthest forward on this type of box.
The manual discourages running the engine on the jacks/stands, but this is the best way to exorcise the air bubbles. It puts a lot less stress on the pump while it still has air bubbles in it, and stops compressing the bubbles into solution. I hardly think it’s dangerous if the wheels are on, and just a few mm off the ground.

Yep, it's a RHD, JDM import, and I'm in the States. The photo is taken from an odd angle because I had the engine out and was test fitting an intercooler.
