I have a 1998 hzj75 tray back with the 1hz diesel, my temperature gauge was flickering up & down now isn't working at all..? Any help please

Also I think I'm having other earthing type of problems?! Led lights are dull? My engel fridge is constantly working but not cold? Few other dramas

your temp gauge could be a temp sensor problem, easy to fix. sensor located right side oil filter, can also be an earthing problem are your other gauges working?

I had similar issues with my HJ75 and it was a grounding problem.
Good luck...

Do any of the other gauges move erratically at the same time? ( like the fuel gauge)

Nah none of the other gauges move just the temp? Now that doesn't even move at all & I'm half way through my holiday driving to exmouth! So I'm a little worried haha

Sounds like an earth problem to me , it has possibly killed your temp gauge.
How is your fridge wired?
Cigarette light sockets are barely adequate for fridges when all things are prefect.
Is it not cold at all or not cold enough?
Does it wok ok on 240v?

I hope this helps someone. My coolant temperature gauge was stuck at hot from when I started the engine. I changed the sender, sensor and even the cable to the gauge. Finally I changed the gauge itself but the fault remained. The fault remained. In the end it was a fault in the grounding. If anyone experiences this, please start by checking the grounding. This would have been the cheapest and quickest way out for me.
