hzj75 gearbox fit hj75 (1 Viewer)

hello,
does anyone know if the HZJ75 gearbox will fit in a HJ75, my HJ75 got the H44f 4 speed, want to upgrade in 5 speed, cant find the HJ75
h55F where im locate.

My HJ 75 has the H55F I would say it is more common than the 4speed you have, especially since I believe all Australian HJ75 came with the 5speed. As to will a H55F swap with the 4 speed without any parts swaps I have no idea.

I see, only the later HJ75 here in French polynesia got the H55F, think the 1988 or 1989, befor the HZJ75 came out, can count on one hand the lucky who got the hj75 with the H55F

The input shafts of the gearboxes are different between the 2H engine and the 1HZ engine. So, no, the gearbox from a later HZJ75 won’t work unless you swap input shafts.

Or buy a new H55 to fit your truck (33030-60450: still available new from Toyota).
