Hydroplane and wipeout in the 100

A very chatty tow truck driver picked up the 100 this morning (he was pretty interested in my 40 build). I'm thinking of asking the shop to put in sliders or nerf bars instead of those low hanging rock finder steps, since one got bent underneath on the driver's side. My wife told me to be practical and ask them to leave the step alone so we could pocket the $$. Not sure if the body shop will let me do that or not.

My wife's steps are all dinged up from off-roading, but I took mine off before they got trashed, so they're in perfect condition (1998 LC). You can have them for cheap if you want and still pocket some of that insurance money. I want to get rid of them anyways.

PM me if you're interested.
