Hi everybody!

Well, i was wondering, does any of you have hydraulic toys besides the winches? Well, one of thoses days i want to adapt an hydraulic pump to the toyota PTO for a winch, but i was wondering what other option were there? I was thinking of something like sway bar disconect, or variable holds made of double acting cylinders. There's another one i was thinking of, having quick disconects and have a log spliter. If you have anything intresting, please show pics.

Bye.

Bucket loader? :hillbilly:

But seriously, folks...

Wouldn't the cost and complexity of adding/maintaining a vehicle-mounted hydro pump that could run a log splitter make it easier to just buy the stand-alone log splitter? What if you wanted to run the splitter without the Cruiser present and running at the same time and location? The fact that it would have to have quick disconnects like farm implements would add a chance for dirt entry, necessitating a removable/accessible filter on the intake of the cruiser system.

Sorry, I'm kind of pessimistic about the idea right now...mebbe I'd warm up to it if I could think of other cool toys to run with it. :)

What is a "variable hold"? Just curious, haven't heard of this before..

A good budy bought a MM hydro winch .. it function, but too slow for our aplication, and he finished swap a 16.5Ti in his F-350 Ford.

Thanks a lot everybody for your replies.

Psfpilot, i was thinking of variable height leaf spring atachement, you know the end which has no shackles, moving it someway with hydraulics up or down. So in certain conditions like not flexing enough to reach the bottom of a hole to get some grip, i would be able to push my axle downwards on that side :D All four independent. And may be when the truck is leaning too much going across a slope, i could push the two downhil wheels to avoid tipping. Well, just an idea which has been in my mind for a while.

Bye.

Max.
