I had a chance to turn on the hvac system today and I was listening to a electronic whirring noise that sounded like a blend door. Normally my OCD flared up, and I decided to run the HVAC test on the system. The system hvac page came up, all the lights on hvac control panel flashed etc, and finally the numbers 00 illuminated.

I assume that means no problem?

To exit the hvac test mode, pushing the off fan switch should be enough?

Thanks

If it 's sounding like a blender, it is either a bad impeller or more likely a small leaf, pine needle or something like that caught in the impeller.
Try using an air nozzle (if you have one) to blow it through the system.

Same was happening in mine. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a leaf. Fortunately, eBay has decent prices on “junk yard” motors. Easy job too.
