Power went out at 130. The inlaws built n generator did not kick in. So I fiqured that out and now we have power and ac. All is well.

Glad it is passing east of you guys...Staying off shore and will pass over ocracoke in a few. Last nite noaa had it headed right for atlantic beach/morehead right around spoonners creek. It has moved a little east since then. Having fun in goldsboro....3+ inches of rain so far. Looks like you guys have got over 5...

It's only a Cat 1 and doubtfull it will increase as it is getting into cooler and cooler water. Certainly one thing I do not miss about the Keys. The 3-4 days of hype prior to a storm and then nothing but a Cat 1 ends up being somewhat of a let down. I know, I am strange.

An incomming storm there generally cost the economy about a week. They kick the tourists out 4-6 days prior to proposed land fall, then they don't return until at least 2-3 days after it has past. Everything just grinds to a halt.

The eye just passed over us. Wind shifted to the north. No pwr trees are down but we r safe. Some of neighbors r dumbasses walking around barefoot down to the river. Will try to post pics. There is a hurt pelican n the rd. The pic of the water is of a neighbors house on the neuse river.

Good you all made it thru with no real damage. We have one tree leaning on the house and the wife is still without power over in Swansboro Thankfully the tree didn't do any damage to the roof it looks like, maybe a few new shingles.
