So this is a fairly specific question but thought I would ask in case anyone has experience with these seats. General observations or opinions would be most excellent as well. I know people have had a lot of good experience with junkyard seats but I haven’t found any I like. These are the three aftermarket seats I’m looking at:
Hunsaker Icon (reclinable suspension seat)

Corbeau Baja RS (reclinable suspension seat)

Is there a build quality difference between Hunsaker and Corbeau?
Rambling:
I guess the seat needs to fulfill three duties: off-road on rutted trails, long highway trips, and daily driving. The priorities for the seat’s performance are in that order. Although I will use it to daily drive, I don’t mind putting up with inconveniences as long as my back is happy.
Not that I’m obsessing over seats but since I have significant back problems a seat can mean the difference between a great outdoor adventure and a medicated haze punctuated with stabbing pain (not that I’m being melodramatic about it or anything.) I have fairly specific requirements and issues with seats. I have a long torso and all the seats I have sat in seem to curve right into my upper back where two of my discs give me lots of trouble. I also have wide shoulders so the curved shoulder support so popular is also uncomfortable to me. I can’t tell from the pictures how much the suspension seats curve at the shoulders. I don’t like lumbar support or at least I have never found it useful. The suspension seat sounds the most useful for isolating my back from the constant vibration and jarring of travel over rough trails / roads. However, it seems that suspension seats are mainly used in rock crawling buggies. I have read some favorable reviews about the Corbeau seat for constant use on rough gravel roads. The Procar rally seat looks like it has great side support that can help support my back over rough terrain and it has a straight back, which won’t conflict with my upper back.
Unfortunately I haven’t been able to sit in them and have only gone off of pictures and reviews that I have read. If anyone has any other suggestions for seats, that would be great to hear too. Thanks for any help.
