VEHICLE IS SOLD!!! 1973 Dual Purpose DD and Offroader For Sale I've changed directions and no longer need two Land Cruisers. This truck has been a hoot to build and more over, drive. Alot of work and patience has gone into building this truck right. Mechanically this truck is solid. PO spent all the money on aftermarket accessories and I finished it correctly where they left off. Last week I drove this truck on the interstate for a 4 hour trip and have driven it daily to work over the last couple weeks without issue. Serious inquiries please PM me.

Well I'm not sure of its yours or not but its a great story anyhow. The person that 'built' the truck put all the right bolt on's in the truck but failed with the wiring harness which was all cut up and nothing really worked, they zipped tied the odo cable under the truck (not sure why) I hooked it up and it works great now. The rear end has been junked, there's no place for a minitruck axle on a built machine like this, I spent all the money and put in a Dana 44 spooled, new disk brakes on the rear...its all in the build up thread. I've always wanted to write a 'buyer beware' thread because you can list all the cool stuff the 'PO' put on the truck without taking direct respondsibility for the truck build and the sell your supposed 'built piece of junk' to an unsuspecting buyer. The entire truck has been rebuilt by myself and VonHagen Offroad. Anyway enough of my rant..thanks for he story though. I'm pretty sure this isn't your truck unless your helping the Jerrys kids build Land Cruisers.

First of all nice rig! And dont take this the wrong way but I would rather have a mini truck axle in the rear any day over a D44!. I come from experience! I purchased a similarly set up 40 with a D44 rear end, chromoly axles, spool etc and thought it was the way to go. Not two weeks into owning the rig I twisted a shaft and bent the housing! I since replaced the axle with a ifs width rear end with the same chromoly shafts and a spool in the rear turning 38"s behind a 350... not the ideal set up I'll admit but it hasn't failed me yet! Theres a reason J**ps have the 44 under there! keeps the after market guys busy! Good luck with the sale and wish I would have seen this in jan or it would have been mine!

Hey Thanks for the compliment. I've had really good luck with the Dana 44. Driving it daily its not given any problems and on the trail its superior over the minitruck axle...just differing opinions I guess.

I've decided I want to sell this as it sits. The cruiser sickness as you all know never rests. Reasonable offers will be considered. Thanks, Hoz

Friday bump...make offers. Cheers!

Bump before she goes on eBay

This truck is turn key and ready to roll. Jump in, fire it up and go. Been driving her almost everyday and it's a hoot to drive and makes all the jeep guys jealous!

Been getting a lot of questions on height. The 40 stands 81 inches tall will fit in standard size garage. My garage is standard 83 inches high and slides right in everyday! Hope that info helps.

Monday bump 40 is probably going away this week! Last chance...
