Greetings from Manitoba
I just recently brought my 86 HJ60 out from a two year hibernation. THe vehicle is running very well and started up like only a cruiser would after two years:D . On two seperate occasions after startup there is a scream coming from the engine bay. I quickly shut it down:eek: , restarted and nothing. Could a belt be squaking due to age or a bearing seized?? After the vehicle is immediately restarted there is no problems:confused:
Thanks for any and all advice.

It could be belts so check the tension and maybe spray on some dressing. But it also sounds like it could be that the starter is not disengaging from the flywheel. Especially since you mention it has not been run in a few years. IF it is the starter stuck on, shut it off immediately and DO NOT rev the engine, the multiplication is huge and your starter can burn up and wiring too.. fusible links etc.
My money is sticking contacts in the starter solenoid. Take the starter to your
local Auto electric guy. There are also vendors that sell reman 24volt 2H/12H-T starters on core exchange.

X2 ..

other option there are to tensor bearings in the 2H engine .. up ( AC belt ) and down ( PS belt ) check those beaerings.
