How’d I do on my purchase?

Picked up a 2008 GX470 with 112k. Texas vehicle with no rust and decent service records. Got her for $12k. No pics yet but they’ll be coming soon as I pick her up Monday. Hard to tell up from down in the current market, but how’d you say I did? I’m coming from an LX background, but wanted something a little smaller but just as comfy.

Thanks for the reply. I’m glad for the input, I was thinking it seemed alright, but wasn’t 100% as I’m really not too familiar with the GX. If it was an LX it would be the steal of the century, but GX seem kinda all over the place.

Congrats! Great deal assuming all is good mechanically. My ‘08 was ~$11k but with 169k miles back in early 2020. Though mine was a unicorn with well taken care of it was. Definitely an older owner.

She’s not too bad! Definitely needs a few things, wasn’t quite as nice as I had hoped, but overall I can’t complain for the price. All sorted she’ll still be under $15k.
Needs a windshield, either front tire balance or wheel bearing(s), touch up paint, and likely 1 or 2 of the worst cladding pieces/front bumper replaced. Lastly, it has the infamous rear clunk so likely needs the new rear drive shaft or this one needs to be greased. THEN I can start in on the fun stuff. Planning a very mild build as it’ll be my DD. Sticker on the hood says TB/WP were done 20k ago, and the service records indicate that the rear AHC was just redone 3 years ago so that’s a relief at least.
