I am curious...

the 100 serries that I have right now has a Stock DVD player in it. is it possible to rewire the DVD player to work while the truck is in the on position???

It seems to only work while the truck is not turned on...

There's been a few posts on doing it, including a device from Dr. Bypass on ebay.

I may end up doing it someday, or not.

Link???

Thanks Gary

Wouldn't cutting the VSS cause the trip computer to not operate correctly? I read the instructions and it said it would not affect navigation but MPG and trip info may be screwed. Anyboday know for sure?

I've done this mod, I've had it for approx. 5K miles. No problems whatsoever.

Id love to see someone take some pics of the wiring for this mod (that were better than the ones at the link). I was waiting on a buddy at a hotel yesterday morning in Bethesda, MD and while i waited, i watched the first 20 mins of Old School....it really sucked to have to turn it off.

I hear ya man. I like to watch my wakeboarding video's in the car! :D :bounce: :grinpimp:
That is actually great news about the VSS switch because I do use the hell outta my trip computer! If it does not control that then what does the VSS control. Is it there only to tell the computer that the car is moving? That seems strange that would be it's only function.....
