SEM trim paint works great. I've used it on several vehicles and it always turns out well.

Here are some good pictures of it being used. All the same thread, just linked the individual posts to make it quicker to see what you're looking for.

That doesn't seem to have the right finish to match the paint on the LC. They look nice, don't get me wrong, but the Rustoleum product produces a satin or semi gloss finish that matched the original very well and the rear door has a bunch of it that is next to the rear window area and I would think you would want those finishes to match. My eye can barely pick up a slight difference, but it might be confirmation bias because I know what I painted. Nobody else has been able to tell.

I'll look into that SEM trim paint, like the results in the pics.

Good point, I'll do some comparisons.

They might make a satin or semi gloss finish that would be good. SEM gets high marks in the paint world. That one just looks a little matte-ish for the parts we are talking about.

VuickB6 how is that B6 paint holding up 2 years later? Just curious I'm about to use some SEM trim paint on my 92 cruiser. Did you spray any sort of clearcoat over it after / or were you worried at all about durability on the bumpers etc ?

Thanks!

Weird but it works on my stuff. Lemon oil for guitar fret boards. I use the stuff on everything.

If that doesn't work another odd one - mink oil paste like the kind for shoes and let it cook in the hot sun - then wipe down. That will work. Read the label. " Safe for all leather and smooth vinyl. "
