Anyone know a good trick to remove desert pin striping? One 393 last weekend, my 2006 came back with a lot of new pin stripes, and I would like to get rid of them. I have read that you can use toothpaste (whitening type works the best), or I can use a metal polish, or rubbing compound. But I was curious if anyone had any tricks.
Thank you.

Brice a good Detailer should be able to take them out. I had a lot of pin striping too after 393. I had our best Detailer at my shop do a good polish and I can say most of them all came out.

Yup, a good detailer does the trick.
I washed the truck, used a clay bar, used a fine machine polish, then hand waxed the truck. I would say 95% of the pin stripes came out.
Now I need to clean the inside!

I don't think Tina is going to give up her baby.
@aztlctina loves to go offroading in her 200, she is not fond of the pin stripes. She has taken it a couple of places, including Sheep's Bridge, which is why it now has White Knuckle sliders on it.;)

....how about on Black....challenge activated...

Any recommendations on a good detail shop to have this done in Phoenix/Scottsdale area. I have a black 4runner that has a lot on the sides, I don't think they are very deep so someone who knows what their doing should be able to fix em up?
