Does anyone have any experience, pictures and/or ideas about mounting a security console(TUFFY CONSOLE)? And if not, than some where to keep important items (handguns, money, etc) safe. Due to possible water entering cabin from crossing water. Can't go under driver's seat b/c of heat vent & on passenger side I'm removing stereo amp to higher ground THANK YOU CJ

Just go all the way and build a drawer set that includes a small and secure safe.

I can't ever find anywhere to mount anything toward the front of the 100 without compromising passenger space.

I agree with you 100%. I just started looking into the drawers with the basic system. side by side that will each slide almost all the way out. ALSO at the same time making an almost flat sleeping platform. Since I DON"t trust my own carpenter skills, is there a company or companies that you would suggest I keep my researching down to those 2 or 3 companies, etc. To buy their drawers kit from and then my next step is to find a store or person in SAN DIEGO COUNTY that has experience installing one of these in a 100 series. Any names out there from anybody would be much appreciated!! THANK YOU so much Sir & for taking you time to answear my newbie questions.

If you want to go with a DIY approach, I know of two drawer systems in 100s here in SD that you can check out, borrow from and measure. Send a PM if you are interested. Integrating a small safe would be easy. Look for Mud member RobRed. I think he did that in his.

Having built two so far, I think the best of both worlds would be a full size Tuffy security drawer, integrated into a sleeping platform. Their security drawers are pretty robust. It would be a pretty pricy project though, which is why I haven't done it, yet.

In the meantime, go with a small pistol safe with an included cable to attach to your seat frame. Good enough to stop the smash and grabbers but not much else.
