How Strong are Old Ball Joint v/s Birfield Joint (1 Viewer)

Hello

I want to know how strong is the old Land Cruiser Axle (Front and Rear), the front axle not have Birfields, they have another system ¿ball joint?

The pre-1968 ball joints were definitely weaker than the birfields, and the earlier birfields (6 spline) inferior to the later ones.

I 'm going to use a Birfield Joint Axles in my FJ40 proyect.

you will need to swap out the whole axle, not just the ball and claw for birfields. find a latter disc brake for a newer(68+?) drum and convert it to mini truck parts.
