Phew, off to the catacombs with this thread already. I guess I heard the advice I needed, thanks.

I didn't even know there was a paint and body forum.

because of 88's post i should mention most shops with a heated booth or an oven will force cure / bake after painting in that case if baked at proper temp for "X" time it should be cured all the way through.

if it was left to cute by just sitting in the sun or whatever then a few days would likely be required.

Thanks. Sounds like I need to stop and talk to the shop.

Agree to have you wait. Depending on the high build primer used. K36 primer from PPG needs many months to completely dry out(Their Omni line does not which is why many high end builders use the Omni in place of the K36), to stop the shrinking before it tech. can be sanded and even then it will off gas until dry. When I did my mustang 3 years ago, I was told my the local paint shop to wait a year. No need to wax until then since it needs to breath.

Fine scratches can be removed with Mequirers tan bottle fine scratch and ultra fine polish.

check with your body shop. some say 30 days, i've heard of some saying 90 days, where i had my ford done, they said by hand immediately, with a buffer a week.
