How hard is it to replace the brushes in the wiper motor?

Took mine apart today and the brushes were either worn down to less than 1/4", or had been pulled from their housing and are wearing on the long edge.....see pics:




Is this crazy to attempt to replace the brushes...looks like some delicate soldering is necessary.
 
Its simple. finding the right brushes is impossible. So, you will have to sand some down to fit, but its doable.

Ive done it on three or so heaters and wiper motors.
 
I am sure much more difficult repairs have been done, looks quite possiable.

Thanks for opening that up motor though, mental note to self - avoid doing same if possiable.

Oh and delicate soldering, try replacing a surface mount capacitor, PITA.
