How Do You Carry Your Spare (33") Tire?

Im going to try strapping mine to the roof for my trip coming up...
Well see how it goes.

I don't trust straps in that kind of situation.

I had the spare strapped down (tightly) and we were buzzing across a dry lake out at Calico when we hit one of the little channels that erode into the surface (extremely hard to see until you you are right on top of them). We took a nice little bounce and the spare slipped out of its bonds. That could have been ugly.

I see your point there, and that really could have been a bad scene...
Ive got the factory rack on mine and I was planning on strapping it into the corners of the factory rack system and making a loop around the tire and rim in 2 locations.
Ill see how it does...if it looks sketchy, ill just have to make some space in the rear of the rig. Id really like to keep some space open though if I can.
