It's completely disconnected, but I can't seem to manipulate it out from under the truck. Do I need to take the spare off? Cross members? I'm getting frustrated.

Luckily I didn't have to remove it. Problem was the hose between the filler neck pipe and the tank. If this thing does rust through though, anyone see a problem with cutting it out and replacing it with hose?

I had to replace the hose on mine and it was rock hard so I had to cut it off with a razor blade, take the spare tire down and youll have plenty of access. might as well replace the breather hose that Is located near the filler hose.

some guys have done that, cut out the bad section and use marine fuel hose between the two halves

yeah my hose was completely delaminated and blocked, toast. Ordered a new on from the local dealership, $58.
