How about a NYLON reducing tee in the fuel line instead of brass?

I would have assumed it would melt, but according to the internet:

Nylon has good resistance to organic solvents, oils, and gasoline.

Yea, that is what I read too.
Just looking for experience.
I want a brass one but apparently I would need to take up VooDoo and sacrifice three chickens to find one of those. I have only been to 3 hardware stores and 4 auto parts stores.
The nylon one is the only thing I could find.
Ace Hardware.

I just installed a 34 sub in the 80 on friday and the "T" supplied was a nylon unit .
If its good enough for the boys "down under" who will be in the middle of nowhere then I dont see a problem with useing it

Wish they would have supplied a tee for me!

Anyway, thanks for the info, the nylon one is in temporarily until I can get myself a metal one.

Still need the damn fill hose though...

Hey Jeb

Personally, i ditched every single piece of plastic/nylon/pvc that was in my kit and replaced it with either stainless or brass. No way in hell i want this very labor intensive mod failing in an extreme temp change or something like that over a $3 part!

I can get ya one from the Marine Supply place i got mine.

You want it to be 1/2" on both ends and 3/8" on the T portion? Not sure they have that, but i know they have all 1/2" or all 3/8"

But first i want you to post the video of you sacrificing 3 chickens!

ALSO, where did you find a transfer pump with 1/2" fittings??

I did not find one.

The fuel line coming out of the pump is 3/8" and that dumps into the vent line for the main fuel tank which is 1/2" line. Hence the 3/8" x 1/2" x 1/2".

You are scaring me Kevin, did I do this wrong?

I cut the braided vent hose just about 5" from the main tank and inserted the tee. Then fed the pump into that via the 3/8" flange.

Also, any luck with that fill line? :D
