Im off to Vietnam for a 3-4 weeks and thinking about doing the west coast of the US later this year or next year.
Im supposed to be in Chiang Mai,Thailand right now but there was a last minute change of plans.
Whats a travellers autobarn? Where did you go?

travellers autobarn camper rentals, cheap but great, from darwin to cairns all the way around and in the south way up to alice springs and back down, western australia was amazing. we did vietnam from the north to the south with the easy riders by motorcycles 125cc chinese bikes great trip , than you see the real vietnam, great mountains beautiful coastal roads , good food and one off the cheapest countries i've been to, beer is cheaper than water :) we did chang mai way up to chang rai and took a boot on the mekong into laos, laos is also a must see http://nooitnooit.wordpress.com/ check out are photos here, next plans are with the car from belgium to spain crossing over to morocco, drive trough the entire african continent ,through the middle east to india ,tibet, nepal and probably relocate somewhere, australia would be nice but so difficult to get in for a simple welder and social worker(girlfriend), i noticed your little avatar, that was a famous robber we've visited a little museum about him but can't remember where it was.

Im looking forward to doing a few trips by scooter, but I also want to do the train journey to Hanoi. My friends tried to organise a trip where we would take our own 500-600cc enduro bikes but got a flat NO from the DSRV.

I would put your application for residency in ,but get some help putting it together. They can only say yes or no.
Qualified welders are in short supply, you also have youth (Im assuming) on your side.

Glenrowan is the town where the Ned Kelly museum is;)
