Does anybody have any experience with hood louvers or vents for their KZJ-78? Is it worth it?

If you supercharge or turbo, they could be helpful. I had a vg33er nissan supercharged in an old rig and louvers helped bring down the overall engine bay temps when rock crawling. RunCool Hood Louvers - Hood Vents For Your Vehicle - Cool Your Engine

I saw overall temps reduced by 15-20 degrees and alleviated things getting hot having to turn off AC when in the rough stuff.

I would not cut into my land cruiser though, id try other ways.

Thanks so much. Both were extremely helpful. Haven't had any issues with overheating and don't plan on pushing limits, just was looking for some input. Thanks again

Hood vents can actually make them run hotter as they raise the engine bay air pressure which makes it harder to draw air through the radiator. They are only useful when fitted to an intercooler or air cooled engines
