You maybe right,the fire didnt really get going before I extinguished it.But I cant see it really doing much if there is a fire.Its almost touching the engine in its fixed place anyway.Its only going to drop and inch or so and you would still have a draught of air from underneath.
 
I did! long nose pliers will do a great job in this case.:)
16 pcs came off perfectly.
just flip a bit and apply the pliers.:cool:

Is there something you squeeze or do you just twist and pull?
 
I have, they pretty much self destructed, get some universal replacements from Repco or similar.

If I cant "flip a bit" like wongtsenhin I can get them at a local shop.;)

Just to verify "flip a bit" of the clip, too much "flip" will tend to break the clip.


After flipping, see the which direction the clip is handing to. Then apply your long nose pliers and squeeze it. Come off perfectly:)

Good point... I'm with you that I doubt it would actually "put out" the fire. It's likely there to slow it down or to appease our Gov's regulations for vehicles. ;)
