Get It!!

I have a '90 CRX my DD for the summer, except for the odd day when I drive the 40. You will love it. Wicked fuel economy.

I have 275K km on mine, I got it with 160K. Timing belt every 100K, fuel tank, clutch and distributor are all I have done.

But I wouldn't pay $800 for the distributor, I did mine for under $200CDN and it is running fine. The Ignitor (I think?) inside the distributor was fried, I have the Honda manual and it was not all that hard to swap out.

My CRX owes me NOTHING and still running strong.

GET IT BEFORE IT'S GONE!!

This pic is a few years old, It has some cancer now that needs to be taken care of.

Bruce.

Thanks. Sorry about my first post, it's misleading. The distributor is not $800, but rather $175 from honda.

I told her i would give full asking price if she had the dist fixed.

Now there is only one small thing that is in my way, i asked if she had the title and she said she had to get a new one and it would take 5-10 days. Should i be too concerned with this? considering its a cheap DD vehicle i'm not gonna go digging into the history. For $800 bucks i can't really ask for something perfect.

Brandon, get the CRX. I had a '91 Civic Si, very similar to the CRX, no power steering, great engine.

Corolla. Four doors, a trunk, and they run forever. You can carry Cruiser parts in the back, your girl in the front, and put a decent set of Yakima's on the roof. CRX roofs are too short for good racks, there is next to no room in the back and the front is a lot smaller than the Corolla.

This is a no-brainer for me. I sold my 77 Corolla at 386,000 and it was still running great. I've also had 86, 88, 89, and 90 Corollas. I never had a problem with any of them.

I wouldn't worry about it if she says she can get it!

If I could by a CRX for $800 I wouldn't even think for a second, it'd be in the driveway and I would be showing you pics of the CRX I just picked up for $800!!

My vote is for the CRX. Plus you might want to think about the resale value. I'm not sure how long you want to keep a car, but I would think the CRX would be easier to sell also.
