Can anyone recommend a good adhesive to bond aluminum metal mesh to painted sheet metal? I want to cover areas of infiltration by rodents into the vehicle like the cabin air intake. I've had bad experiences in the past with rodents getting into vehicles. It's far too common where I live.

I was thinking polyurethane like that which is used for bonding windshields to sheet metal.

Seam sealer. I've used the 3M Urethane seam sealer and it works well

3M panel bonding adhesive - comes in a 2 part dispenser mixed together in the application tube- works great.

Finally got around to doing this. Used the seam sealer. Worked very well.

Could you post which brand seam sealer you used, we have the same problem with the fleet I worked at. Rodents are everywhere and they die inside too when they cant get out.

That is one clean truck

I have the same issues since I live out in the sticks. On both of my 4x4s I wrapped metallic window mesh around the cabin air filter. So far no rodent ingress but only time will tell.

All of my vehicles have these things connected to the battery:

I did the same thing on my 200 four years ago, I put peel-and-stick flashing tape on the edge of the intake to protect it, then fastened the hardware cloth down with zip ties. I was worried about if I ever need to remove it.
