Quick update to this thread - I hauled my 300 lbs WR250R from MLB, FL, to Denver on an aluminum bike carrier. No issues, apart from the trailer being a bit overloaded! Built pretty darn stout!

Thanks for sharing. The more I drive with my RTT on my rack the more I'm wanting to build a dedicated camping trailer that would serve as a fold out kitchen and base for the RTT. My main complaint (at least as an idea, hasn't been an issue yet) with the RTT is the inability to move the vehicle without fully tearing down camp. Liking the idea of just undoing the hitch and leaving camp to play in the car for the day.
