I have a twin ARB compressor installed in my FJ40 for air. But I have 3 other off-road rigs and it doesn't make any sense to buy another one. So I decided to try and make a CO2 tank for the other trucks. I recently went on a 4wd trip with a buddy that had one and was quite impressed with the time it took to fill his tires. So here is a list of the items I bought.
10lb CO2 Tank - Amazon product ASIN B086XKB46F150 PSI regulator - Amazon product ASIN B081S7YYPC0-2000psi gauge - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FBKYXBQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Digital tire gauge - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C25C4CQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Locking air chuck - Amazon.com: Ram-Pro Air Chuck Open Flow Ball Heavy Duty Closed Flow Lock On Tire Chuck with Clip for Gauge Compressor Female Thread Connector Accessories Hose Tool Clip for Tire Inflator: Automotive
Hose 1/4inX25ft - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075H2BKPS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Total spent was about $230 and then $17 to fill the tank at a local welding supply store.
I added the gauge to the regulator I purchased. All said it was pretty easy to get done. I am heading out on an overlanding trip in a couple weeks and still need to get a mounting system. Attached are the photos of the finished project. I am sure it will work great.

Thanks for sharing @spdracr58, I just might do this when all other projects are out of the way.

looks nice. That regulator is really sticking out there, though, I'd be careful that it can't be hit by anything, and that the tank does not keel over.

I have yet to find an inflator gauge with a good flow rate (to make full use of air source). Compare with and without and let us know!

Any updates? how do you like it?

Was able to use it during overland adventure 2020 in Arizona with my Avalanche. Filled all four tires 35x17" tires from 20-24 psi up to 45 psi without issue. Each tire took about 1 minute to fill up. Maybe a little less. And still has plenty of CO2. Drove all the way home 750 miles with the CO2 in the tires no issue. Was wondering if the CO2 would somehow react different somehow and heat up the tires but nothing.

Very pleased with the setup.
