Happy Father's Day to you dads on here! I am looking to become the father of an HJ61

Options im looking for :
12HT w/ H55
high roof
lockers
Low miles (under 250ish KM's)
The less rust the better of course
Color: any factory colors really, just no flat matte rattle can jobs. I love the ones with the rad graphics and two tone paint jobs but I can only be so picky!
Mild mods okay but the more stock the better.

I know I am looking for a gem, but Ive got a little time and want to use that time to find the right one!
If you have been considering putting your HJ61 up for sale....let me know before listing it and avoid the hassle of tire kickers and scammers on craigslist. ;)

Cheers
Handsel

Been keeping an eye on that one for a while.... its the only one for sale right now I think. Does it seem sketchy to anyone else? like a ton of rust is about to show itself? I could be wrong but I worry the underbody paint is covering up some nastyness. Anyone in Orange county, California area feel like checking it out? :D
The price is in good range.

I would agree with your rust assessment from the pics. Beware a ton of new black undercoating or POR 15 or whatever it is on that undercarriage. As it was explained to me by a dealer in Japan, the diesel 60's are generally found in the north of the country for some reason and the weather and road care there tend to make rust a big issue for them.

I may be putting mine on the market in near future. I'm the 3rd owner, Canadian 87 hj60. 2h diesel h55 trans 4.10s. Sits on brand new brakes and 32s. New fj62 frame underneath it. New arb bumper and full ome medium duty kit all around. Needs rear rust repair on quarters but other than that she's a tank. I have all receipts back to the 1st owner. Pm me if ur interested. I'm located in arizona

PM sent

Well, whats your budget? I've been loosely thinking about selling mine, only because I'm getting married soon and plan on having kids (hah). Mine is in incredible shape, but I probably won't let it go for a bargain.

I am definitely not looking to over pay for one..... But I have budget to afford a very nice one. Assuming you read my requirements for one in this post, PM me with details of yours if you like and we can go from there to decide if it may work for both of us. Okay if no lockers but H55f trans (manual) a must.

Cheers

Well no worries. I have the 4-speed auto trans in mine. I think Steve Jackson has a 60 series with an H55f trans on his website that might be similar to what you want. Good luck with the hunt.:wrench::wrench::wrench:

Cool, thanks for checking with me anyways. The one on Land Cruiser Direct for $33k ? Im not looking to spend that much more for Left hand drive haha. I dont mind the RDH at all, honestly kind of like the idea of it.

Dont get me wrong, i'm not saying his price isn't fair. A LHD model in great condition with lockers like that one deserves to sell for a high cost and he should get asking price for it!

Also, in case someone with a HZJ77 or HZJ75 troopy reads this I am also searching for a nice example of those models as well. Figured I would mention that just in case. :D
Still gathering funds for a couple more months so I am in no hurry.

Calling off the search dogs. Money has been sent for an aussie troopy to be sent over. Thanks to all who kept me in mind and sent PM's regarding their findings / offerings of HJ61's and so on. Im sure ill be blowing up the 70 series tech forum with questions in a few months. :flipoff2:
