HJ61 radiator replacement

Hey all, I've got a cracked radiator that needs to be replaced in my JDM '88 HJ61. I've got the part #054-006KI-A and found one on Specter for $825, but I'm looking for something cheaper.

Are there any compatible radiators that I could get for cheaper? Maybe one for an FJ62?

Find a good old school radiator shop locally and they should be able to rebuild your radiator for a small fraction of that cost. Remove it yourself and take just the radiator to them and it will save you more money too.

I've run a spectrum premium radiator for a number of years on my 86fj 60 with V8. I've not checked lately but they were available on autozone and sometimes on rock auto. 4 core brass tank type direct replacement for OEM. No issues on my stuff, I bought another one for a spare. Fits my 1986 USA market FJ60 without issue and as far as I know of....generally the only 4 core direct replacement model radiator around.

I bought the OEM radiator that Onur suggested (16400-68160). The size is right however it doesn't match up to the old one. I was told by the shop that it's missing a couple of valves on the bottom (for transmission fluid). Basically from what I understand it needs two more holes. My HJ61 has an automatic transmission.

Do you drive your truck in cold weather? If not, don’t worry about the missing heat exchanger on the radiator and instead get a large remote automatic transmission cooler. There are several threads with information on aftermarket units that work well.

The atf heat exchanger in the rad does help get the transmission up to temperature quicker in colder weather. If you drive in the winter you may wish to have a radiator shop open the lower tank and add the necessary components.

Heat exchanger! That's the term I'm looking for.. thanks. Yeah it sounds like a pretty straightforward simple job to install an aftermarket cooler so I'll probably just go that route.
