So who has completed a swap and how much is needed?

What would a factory new engine with most accesorries on it cost???

Would it bolt up to the factory 1987 HJ auto tranny????

I doubt a "new" engine exists. A rebuilt long motor is about $5.5K in Oz.
Finding a rebuildable is nigh impossible

Thanks, I will prolly go with a low milage unit from Japan.

Already made the call to the guys at G&S Cruisers, they will be helping me find a good unit.

I'm sure the auto will bolt up just fine, however the shift calibration and / or torque converter stall specs could be different.
