Just about to change the oil and fuel filter on my H Diesel. I have a paper canister oil filter from SOR.
Oil pan screw gasket looks the same size as the large ones on a 2F, correct?
Oil canster has a side mounted screw head, just unscrew and install new filter cartridge (I all ready read that a lot will be spilled).
I have 10qts of Rotella 15-40 to install.

It has a napa fuel filter so I just purchased one the same number.
I assume the top screw comes off and just replace filter.
Any priming needed after install?

Thanks.

You always need to bleed some air out of the lines. The trick is not too let too much fuel leak out.
In a hot climate, I would be using 20/50 oil.

I was just reading thru your post on the air and oil filter for you Hj45.
I also have a 1976 HJ45 and I need the same parts. Did you find them at SOR?
While I have you, my truck has the dreaded click when I turn the key back to warm the glows and the same click when I try to start it. The clicks are coming from 2 independant different devices on the inside firewall, both of which I have not been able to identify. Not sure if this is a factory set up since I have only owned this truck for a couple of weeks. Do these devices sound familiar to you? I have some learning to do.
Did you have to install the Wilson Switch set up on yours? From what I'm reading I'm thinking that may be the way to go. The glow plug relay and the glow plug timmer are no longer available. I think that may be those 2 unidentified devices I referred to earlier.
The truck is going into the local vintage land cruiser specialist here in the Phx area, in about a week, but I would like to be able to talk to them like I know something about this situation.

Thanks, Gary
