Finished with the 25 front end project on the troopy. Not sure what to call it now...HJ27, HJ37? What do you all think?

ahhhh i'm just kidding Randy...

Just giving you some more ideas :)

you can't just have something thats alil rare...you need to go full out rare LOL :)

BTW: thats a really cool rig....and it just got better

also...No old style mirrors on there???

do you have enough projects going on :)

Thanks for the comments....most of them anyway :D.

:lol: Johnny. I forgot that JohnnyC-Keeper of all things OEM-would be scrutinizing. Maybe it should be an HJ17 until I make progress on the new list you provided. Oh, you forgot to mention a split hood and aprons, which I do have to go on at some point. Still need a chrome strip, but Kina may have a good one. The old style mirrors look great but are not the best solution for this truck as it's a DD. Just ordered some of SOR's non-US convex mirrors to see if they help. Stamped hinges FogB? That's a good one! Feel free to send yours up along with those cool ribbed doors you have there.

Very Nice!
Good work Randy!

Looking good Randy, I was wondering what happened to that project.

Another wannabe............ ;p And where's the old style running boards?

There were like a dozen models in the pre-40 series. We'll try this for a wheelbase comparison:

FJ21 & 27 = 2WD :eek:
FJ25 = FJ40 90"
FJ24 = FJ28 = FJ43 95"
FJ35 = FJ45LV (45 SWB) 104" (Gene's Rig)

As far as I know there wasn't a 116" wheelbase. So maybe:
FJ37 ~ FJ45LPB = FJ47 ?????
How about HJ37? :hhmm:

Nice...That would make a good sweeper wagon. ;)

JohnnyC - you can't just have something thats alil rare...you need to go full out rare LOL :)
I must come clean Johnny, it's not that rare as it's not a true oem 25 bib and bars. It's a early '70's bib and some hollow steel tubing with nuts welded inside the ends with screws holding them onto the bib. The 25 bibs are rare, spendy, and should be reserved for a real FJ25 resto.

So true, so true...:D. The old long boards are on there ;p.

Thanks for the historical reference and it makes sense. HJ37 it is! Now I have to change my license plates :bang:.
