I've never been down to Hole in the Rock before. Just curious what type of mods I would need. I've got a 100-series LC with 33's. I'll be installing sliders before the trip. The front torsion bars have been raised to about 1" over stock. Watching some videos on YouTube, I *think* this will suffice, but wanted to check with those that have gone through the trail before. Trying to plan around April. Thanks.

Surprised no one has chimed in yet. First. HITR should not be done alone IMO. It's too remote and traveled lightly enough that if you have issues you can be in serious trouble. throwing that out there just because you didn't mention if you were traveling in a group. Your 100 as set up will likely scrape front/rear bumpers in a few locations, more-so the rear. Be prepared for that. Other than that, good rubber and sliders will do ya fine. Your nerves will be the biggest thing tested. Enjoy. I look forward to pictures.

Thanks, jonharis. I'll be in a group with two other Jeeps, I think. Some ATV's as well. I may end up with a lift as well. At least rear OME springs and shocks all around. Some drop offs may take toll on the tupperware rear bumper, so may take it off at the trailhead.

Thanks for the input.

Good call on removing the rear cover. Do you have a hitch? That will act as a nice skid on the rear too.

HIR is a fantastic trail so you'll have fun.

Some requirements IMHO:
- 33" min
- rear locker or ATRAC
- sliders
- a good spotter that you can trust.
- a good set of shocks. One section of this trail tends to bounce you around quite a bit.
- good tow points front and rear
- extra fuel just in case
- fire wood
