Hit and run at the gym

Had same thing happen to me outside a restaurant in CA. Witness got a partial plate and make/model. The cops said they couldn't find a match, so I thought I was screwed. However, my insurance company (USAA) had better software / investigative capabilities! They found the culprit and their insurance paid for the damage.

Got her back from repair shop. Looks new, repair guy he found it hard to believe it was a 2005.

What insurance do you have? Why don't you just track down the guy since you are a retired LEO.

I was a LEO for about 5 years in the early 80's. Since I didn't see the accident I don't know if the guy that witness the report is the one that actually hit me and wrote down somebody else's license number I need to see the reported truck to see how Its bumper could of hit above my driver side rear wheel well? My truck has a 2 inch lift on it and The reported vehicle was a GMC Yukon. The guy that reported The hit and run was driving a lifted Ford F250 with an aftermarket bumper. Both work out at my gym but have not been back since my car was hit. I do have some detective work to do
