Hissing sound after changing oil

Hi...my husband is cleaning up after changing his oil and has asked me to post this for him...after changing his oil he noticed a hissing sound, when pressing the gas, on the carburator side of the engine. Does anyone have any ideas?

A lonely garter snake wrapped around the throttle cable? I dunno, need more info. Then again, don't know nuttin much about 60s. Loose clamp on the air intake hose at the carb?

FJ60 Widow tell him to check the vacuum hoses going to the carburettor,he has probably knocked one off.

I agree but I would look over by the oil filter 1st for a loose hose................cuase thats where the filter is. Pretty easy to knock off a hose. Prolly the stuff the hangs off the air cleaner.

check the filter too, to make sure its not leaking.

I had a hissing in my pickup pressing the gas after local toyota dealer changed the oil.
the filter had a dent where it screwed on and was spraying oil out.

Well, thanks for all the suggestions. I went over the engine and couldn't find anything out of place or any leaks around the filter. The sound is not there anymore, so maybe it was just getting used to the new oil bath?

Regardless, she ran fine on a 3+ hour round trip yesterday. Oil pressure is a tiny bit higher than normal, but no problems.
