I just pulled the roof off my '64lwb for an overdue refresh and got a little chuckle. Apparently at some point since I last had it off in 2012 one of the windshield latches decided it didn't want to stay latched, but I was more determined! Under the general heading of repurposed landcruiser parts, I shimmed it...with a brake shoe clip!
I guess it worked pretty well, as I never had to revisit the issue.
