High Beam Question

Does anyone know how to make the highs beams come on without turning on the low beams during the day?

At the moment, when the low beams are off and i flick on the high beams, the low beams also come on.

I want to make it so that when the lows are off and i turn on the highs, only the highs come on.

Anyone?

Other than the bulb seating, they are great. The high beams are EPIC at night.

It's bad for the ballast cause of the high voltage it has generate. I'm not sure what t does to the bulbs, but it's bad for them too.

Flashing HIDs is very very bad for them.....

If I recall correctly, my LS430, with factory HIDs, behaves the same way... So it seems that Mr. Toyota deemed it ok at least in some circumstance.

Because of this, I have not worried about it at all with my LX either (I have aftermarket low beam HIDs.)

How do you want this to actuate? do you want this to be a toggle feature or just the way it is once modded?

I assume you want want to pull the stalk to flash someone and want highs only?

DRL circuit could help the desired behavior.

Correct, I only want the highs to come on when I toggle them (assuming the lows are off). Hopefully i can do this without affect the low beams at night. I do not care about being able to reverse this once it is done, after what we did my headlights, Im stuck with HIDs......unless i spend $$$$$ to go back to stock

I have already disabled DRL by cuting one of the wires on the drivers side near your feet. I have also done the fog ligh/hi beam mode (the one in FAQ by sincity).


I thought my lights you used to function this way, as a result of the fog/light mod, but i guess i was wrong......or Lexus changed something when they opened my steering column up.....not sure cause the fog light mod still works.
